Welcome to FTP Coaching
FTP Coaching was born out of numerous late night discussions and debates regarding triathlon training theory. These often long winded discussions led Coach Andrew and Jessica to develop a coaching firm that was different than the competition. We vowed to not use cookie-cutter, one-size fits all approaches to training. Instead, we wanted to create an athlete centered coaching style that looks to enhance your entire lifestyle.
We get results. From the moment you talk to a coach until you cross the finish line, we are with you every step of the way. Your coach will put you through an initial fitness assessment and goal setting exercise before beginning to develop your training plan. Once training, your coach will create an individualized weekly training schedule to help you progress toward your performance goals. Along the way, your coach will review and assess your progress, make changes when needed and provide you feedback on your performance.
Education should be the foundation of every coach. FTP requires at a minimum that ALL coaches obtain a USAT coaching certification and remain in good standing with the governing body. In addition, coaches should strive to address any additional interests they find in the coach world. FTP coaches bring to the table US Masters Swimming, American Swim Coach, USA Cycling, ASCM personal training, ISSN nutrition, massage therapy and advanced cycling analytics certfications to work for you.
FTP Coaching adopts an ATHLETE FIRST mentality. That means YOU come first. Our goal is to help you meet yours. This means training needs to make sense and work for YOU, not us. Furthermore, as coaches we are less interested in a one-time, yearly goal and we place a large focus on athlete development. We want you to race well but more importantly, we want to see you race well in the years to come. It is our belief that triathlon should enhance your life, not take away from it.
